Brave Group has been appointed as the marketing agency for MasterChef South Africa Season 6, as the iconic cooking show moves to etv with a brand new season premiering in early 2026.

The tech forward, integrated marketing group will lead the full campaign for the new season, spanning advertising, PR, experiential and digital innovation – positioning Brave at the centre of one of South Africa’s most anticipated television events.

“MasterChef South Africa represents everything we believe great storytelling should be – authentic, diverse and deeply connected to the lived experience of South Africans,” says Musa Kalenga, Chief Executive of Brave Group.

Brave will bring the full weight of its group offering – including House of Brave, BOLD and Bravado – to the MasterChef mandate, combining strategy, creative, media, experiential and PR in one integrated team.

The campaign will also tap into Forge, Brave Group’s AI powered marketing platform, to deliver data driven insights and precise audience targeting while keeping the storytelling distinctly “Made in Mzansi”.

Bringing MasterChef home to more South Africans

Season 6 will mark MasterChef SA’s debut on e tv, with episodes set to air on Sunday evenings at 18:00, supported by additional broadcasts on eReality and eExtra.

The previous season made history with Bridget Mangwandi becoming the youngest winner and the first Black woman to hold the title – proof that the show is more than a competition, it is a launchpad for dreams.

Brave’s task is clear: connect those stories to an even broader audience as the format moves onto free to air television, ensuring that when MasterChef South Africa says it is “Made in Mzansi”, viewers genuinely feel it.

A proud moment for Brave – and its partners

For KhumaloCo, a shareholder in Brave Group, this win is another milestone in backing African owned, technology enabled marketing businesses that can compete for world class briefs and tell South African stories at scale.

As South Africa counts down to 2026, Brave Group steps into the MasterChef kitchen with a single promise – to serve a campaign as bold, diverse and flavour packed as the dishes that land on the pass.
