Warren Buffett


KhumaloCo is a family investment office of Andile Khumalo, a seasoned entrepreneur and Chartered Accountant (South Africa) with over 20 years of finance and business experience.


Andile started his career at Deloitte and in 2002 he joined Investec as an investment banker after which, he started a few businesses and joined as partner at MSG Afrika in 2007. After spending 11 years as a shareholder and COO of the media & communications group, he exited MSG Afrika to start KhumaloCo in 2018.


In 2013 Andile founded I AM AN ENTREPRENEUR a skills development practice that helps entrepreneurs grow their businesses & managed Enterprise & Supplier Development Programmes on behalf of South African corporates.

Andile has served in various non-executive roles over the years, including as a member of the Takeover Regulations Panel, a member of the Directorate of Market Abuse, a director of South African Airways, a director of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) and President of the Association for the Advancement of Black Accountants of Southern Africa (ABASA). 

Andile currently serves as the CEO of KhumaloCo and as Chairman of portfolio companies I AM AN ENTREPRENEUR, Brave Group, Ince, Gemelli, Quizzical Pictures and Immersion. He is also the co-founder and partner of the Sanlam Transformation Gauge (est. 2021), and the Sanlam ESG Barometer (est. 2023) with partners Arena Holdings and Sanlam Group. 


He is a Non-Executive Director and member of the Audit & Risk Committee and the Social & Ethics Committee of Metrofile Limited. He is a Non-Executive Director and member of the Audit & Risk Committee, Social & Ethics Committee and the Board Investment Committee of Airports Company South Africa (ACSA). He is also a Non-Executive Director of Mentor-A-Boy-Child NPC.

He regularly writes and speaks on Entrepreneurship, Transformation, Leadership and Doing Business in South Africa.
