I AM AN ENTREPRENEUR to Host Zero-Rated Virtual Summit

Updated: Sep 9, 2020

Entrepreneurs will once again be afforded an opportunity to glean much-needed insights and learnings from industry experts in the September 2020 edition of the I AM AN ENTREPRENEUR Digital Summit in association with FNB, which will be streamed live on digital platforms as well as free of charge on www.iamanentrepreneur.co.za on Saturday, 12 September at 10h00.

Once again, delegates will be able to stream and watch the entire webinar without incurring any data costs, thanks to the use of reverse billing technology which is a grand first for the country, and possibly the continent, for a summit of this magnitude attracting well over 500 delegates.

The theme for this September summit: Raising Capital for Recovery and Growth, is very apt in light of the far-reaching impact of the Covid-19 outbreak, particularly on small and medium-sized businesses.

“Small and medium-sized businesses have been hardest hit by the Covid-19 outbreak and many of those who survived the lockdown have gone into survivalist mode. I AM AN ENTREPRENEUR, in association with FNB, are delighted that we can once again empower entrepreneurs with the expertise and know-how to pivot their businesses from survivalist mode to a growth trajectory.

This is one of the ways that I AM AN ENTREPRENEUR is unlocking the latent potential of this sector of the economy, to enable it to stimulate economic growth and generate much-needed job opportunities,” says Andile Khumalo, Founder of I AM AN ENTREPRENEUR.

Now in its seventh successive year, I AM AN ENTREPRENEUR is a small business support initiative that caters for all classes of entrepreneurs, from anyone who wants to start a business to well-established businesses. The format includes skills workshops and masterclasses from experts in various business disciplines as well as learning from the journeys of successful entrepreneurs, all with the single-minded objective of helping the entrepreneur to be better, to grow and succeed.

The experts at the upcoming session, who will be speaking to the theme and fielding questions from the attendees are:

· Precious Majola: Business Manager - FNB Commercial;

· Keitumetse Lekaba: SME Development & Funding Specialist - Tysys Capital Group;

· Samantha Pokroy: Founder & CEO of Sanari Capital; and

· Moushmi Patel: Partner and Executive Director at Sanari Capital.

A trailblazer in the logistics field, Tumisang Kgaboesele, will be the guest entrepreneur that will share his journey and give an overview of his business. He is the founder of bus company Africa People Mover.

“I am looking forward to another exciting, insightful and thought-provoking session. I appeal to entrepreneurs out there to register for the upcoming session in their numbers in order to receive expert advice that will take out the guesswork out of the critical questions they face, and arm themselves with the knowledge to take their businesses to the next level,” Khumalo concludes.
